Our most intricate piece, the Gabrielle Pullover is a hand knitter's triumph over detail. Ribbed paneling and split tabs celebrate the natural qualities of this fiber and highlight the allure of the heritage breed Cotswold wool used to create this garment. Knitting a piece of this complexity is no small task this piece and we are thrilled with the results. A heavier weight piece offering full coverage for chilly nights.
Grown, milled and hand knit in NY using heritage breed wool from the north fork of Long Island at Browder's Birds Farm.
Cotswold is a heat-efficient fiber that is naturally water-resistant and antimicrobial. The fiber also repels dirt so the pristine undyed cream color stays remarkably clean over the course of the season.
Spot clean as needed, dabbing any spills with a soft cloth or leather washcloth. At the end of the season, hand wash in warm water with a ph balanced wash like Euclan or Castille and block on a towel to dry before putting away for storage. We have found that this wool does not attract moths but eucalpytus, cedar or lavender provide extra protection during storage. The sweater can also be dry cleaned but we prefer not to use chemicals on our fibers.
