In collaboration with Bridgehampton-based ceramic artist Mary Jaffe, bring the studio experience home by glazing one of her original hand-shaped vases in the color palette of your choice.
The Vase Glazing Kit comes complete with all the materials and tools you will need to create a unique design of your own. A one-of-a-king vase shape will be selected for you but most vases are 5-5 1/2 inches tall and 3-6 inches wide. If you wish to choose a custom shape, please see the Vase Glazing Custom Boxed Kit.
After completion, we will pick up your custom work and take it to the kiln for firing in Mary's studio and then return it back to you to enjoy.
NOTE: Wait times to transport and fire may be longer to account for Covid compliance but a piece will usually be finished within 2-3 weeks. If you must have your finished fired piece by a specific deadline, we suggest choosing another kit or ordering 4 weeks in advance of your need by date.

How to Order
Please choose your color palette. You may purchase additional colors here.
Each kit comes with three colors, including one jar of ivory glaze which works well to blend and mute the richer accent colors or to create a gradient effect. Any unpainted space will be clear glazed and will show the color of the clay after firing.
Please email any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. We can do larger orders for special events with advance notice and are happy to work with you to put together the perfect kits.

Small children should be supervised while glazing to avoid misapplication of the product and breakage of the vase. Glaze is nontoxic in small quantities but does contain very trace amounts of metal. Glaze will generally wash off hair and clothing with soap and water but we recommend wearing a smock or old t-shirt if you have. Be sure to use clean hands when glazing as body oils or lotions can interfere with adherence to the pottery. Surface area should also be clean for best results.
