Ceramics with Mary Jaffe - Saturdays at 11am
Couldn't load pickup availability
Join us in the tranquil Mind Offline garden for ceramics with instructor and ceramic artist Mary Jaffe. We will explore different techniques including botanical pressings and form pots as well as learn the art of glazing. Held every Saturday at 11, the sessions offered suitable for children 3 and up. Please plan to stay on site if you are registering a small child as we do not offer childcare.
On warmer days, we will move under a large shaded tent.
Price:
$45 per child session (contact us for group rates)
Duration:
1 hour
What's included:
Instruction from Bridgehampton-based ceramic artist Mary Jaffe and all materials - clay, tools and glazes plus the kiln firing service.
Children:
If you register a child, please plan to have an adult stay on site. While this activity is great for adults too, kids as young as 3 are welcome to participate but small children should be accompanied by an adult for their safety.
Wait/Process:
Items that are painted will need to be fired in the kiln before they are ready to take home so please note that your items will likely not be ready for pick-up for 7-10 days and may take more than one session to work on (we will ask you if you plan to return during class and adjust projects accordingly).
Location:
112 Hampton Street in Sag Harbor, a light yellow historic house/storefront on the corner of Jermain and Route 114. There is store parking in the back of the lot off Jermain and free untimed parking all along 114 out front of the store. Feel free to pull up onto the grass.
