By popular demand, we've developed a maker kit that will take the whole family offline for a bit. More glaze, more ceramic pieces, more accessible. Complete with everything you need to paint four pieces, this kit will leave you with a wonderful 'set' you can enjoy for years to come --not to mention the great memory of rolling up your sleeves and creating together.
The kit comes thoughtfully packaged in a custom cedar box crafted by Grain in Amagansett and the materials and instructions were developed in collaboration with ceramic artist Mary Jaffe. As always, kits are plastic free and designed to support reuse and zero waste.
After completion, we will pick up your custom work and take it to the kiln for firing in the studio and then return it back to you to enjoy.
NOTE: Wait times to transport and fire may be longer to account for Covid compliance but a piece will usually be finished within 2-3 weeks. If you must have your finished fired piece by a specific deadline, we suggest choosing another kit or ordering 4 weeks in advance of your need by date.

How to Order
Choose a Shape:
Mugs: approx 14 oz, 5¼" Dia. x 3½" H
Small Bowls: approx 4" x 4" x 2"
Small Plates: approx 6'' × 6'' × 0.75''
*Sizing can vary slightly from batch to batch.
Choose a Color Palette:
Please choose your color palette from the groupings shown. Three colors can be blended and layered to create light or bright hues. You may also choose to purchase additional colors here.
Each kit comes with three colors, including two jars of each color (6 jars total) for ease of sharing. The ivory glaze works well to blend and mute the richer accent colors or to create a gradient effect. Any unpainted space will be clear glazed and will show the color of the clay after firing.
Please email any questions to email@example.com. We can do larger orders for special events with advance notice and are happy to work with you to put together the perfect kits. Customization fees may apply.

Small children should be supervised while glazing to avoid misapplication of the product and breakage of the vase. Glaze is nontoxic in small quantities but does contain very trace amounts of metal. Glaze will generally wash off hair and clothing with soap and water but we recommend wearing a smock or old t-shirt if you have. Be sure to use clean hands when glazing as body oils or lotions can interfere with adherence to the pottery. Surface area should also be clean for best results.
We are not responsible for broken pieces that are not in our possession. We appreciate your understanding.
