Japanese style cross back aprons have been worn for centuries around the house and outside of it. Open in the back with interlocking broad straps, they provide the perfect blend of form and function. Each apron has two patch or inseam pockets and decorative cotton trim. Straps will not fall down or dig in and neutral hues make them perfect for wearing over clothing to protect during making, cooking, gardening or simply heading out to take the dog on a walk.
Prewashed natural fiber linen, cotton, linen/cotton, or linen/rayon, all are machine washable.
Because of the natural dyes, wash in cool water and line dry to preserve pigments. Shrinkage should be minimal and wrinkles will typically fall out with wear.
One size fits many.* All aprons have two pockets, either patch or side in-seam pockets. Decorative cotton trim.
*Bust sizes to 42 inches will fit aprons comfortably. Custom orders accepted for larger size aprons.
Each apron is unique and handmade on the east coast. For that reason, we have only one of each style.
How we found them:
We discovered Twig Fiber Crafts at a DC farmer's market two years ago and have lovingly worn our first apron on countless occasions and for many making sessions. It looks as good today as the we bought it.
