Confessions of a Rock Guitarist is a collection of epic stories told through the unfiltered lens of legendary rock guitarist Steve Lynch -- who also just happens to be the uncle of founder of Mind Offline, Nicole Delma. His impact on her creative and spiritual path and genuinely positive contribution to the planet are why this book is on Mind Offline.

The stories do reveal some never before told tales of his time touring with the likes of Van Halen, Aerosmith and Heart but it is not your classic Rocker tell-all. It's the pure story of a man who realized by the age of 12 that he had a vision and a talent that he had to see through. This is the story of how one cracks out of the mold that society has laid out to pursue their art above all else. Hair metal was what made him famous but it is all the other things he did and the things he said NO to that make the tales worthwhile reading.

He published with Indigo River, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, in order to maintain complete creative control over his story.

Here is what the publisher and others have to say.

"Confessions of a Rock Guitarist is a journey that you'll enjoy... Meeting and connecting with Steve was one of the powerful moments as a musician... His feel, touch, knowledge, enthusiasm and friendship are one that has made me the musician I am today." - John Shanks, Grammy Producer of the Year and Six-time Grammy Nominee, Songwriter & Guitarist (Bon Jovi)

In Confessions of a Rock Guitarist, Steve Lynch recounts with humility and offbeat humor the struggles he endured growing up in the Pacific Northwest and, later, when he moved to LA to pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician. At the Guitar Institute, a fateful demonstration accelerates the course of Lynch's musical development, transforming him from a student into a master who created a cutting-edge style of his own.

Lynch and his band, Autograph, quickly rise to international prominence during the heyday of '80s metal "hair bands." However, addiction, personnel changes, and the public's changing musical tastes threaten to derail his career. Throughout this memoir, Lynch reveals an innate curiosity that takes him around the world as a musician, educator, and seeker of spiritual truth.

Illustrated with photographs from Lynch's long and illustrious career, Confessions of a Rock Guitarist is a transcendent record of one man's quest for artistic and personal fulfillment.

JOHN SHANKS - Songwriter & Guitarist (Bon Jovi), Grammy Producer of the Year and Six-time Grammy Nominee,

Confessions of a Rock Guitarist is a journey that you'll enjoy. As a 16-yr old guitar player from NYC not knowing anyone in LA, I was lucky enough to somehow connect with Steve. Calling the Guitar Institute of Technology, a jazz school primarily, it was a gift when someone said, ‘Well there’s this one guy in the back who's always here that might give you lessons.’ Meeting and connecting with Steve was one of the powerful moments as a musician, someone who had what I wanted and was patient and kind and took the time to teach, show and explain the intricacies and details of what makes this our spiritual journey so meaningful. His feel, touch, knowledge, enthusiasm and friendship are one that has made me the musician I am today. The foundation, encouragement and trust he gave to me is why we pass it on. That is like the pick Jeff Beck gave Steve, that’s how profound what Steve has given me all these years. I am forever grateful for his mentorship and kindness to a kid who just wanted to rock. He was and is still the coolest MOFO as well. Thank you, my friend."

CHRIS FRAZIER - Drummer (Foreigner, White Snake, Steve Lynch Network 23), Producer & Songwriter

"I first met Steve in the late 80s when shredding on the guitar was still a powerful and respected feat of virtuosity. Steve was and is among the best in this field. Suddenly, the 90s came and made guitar solos “lame.” ‘We just wanna hear songs about misery and abuse!’ exclaimed the cd-buying masses. Well, they missed out on some spectacular playing. Steve is a virtuoso on the guitar with an ‘Aw shucks,’ kind of humbleness to go along with it. In the 35 years we’ve known each other we still stay in touch. He’s quick with a joke and full of insight that keeps me on the phone with him for hours. Like me, he’s had his share of triumphs and disappointments in the music business. However, also like me, he’s always had a ‘fu*k you, I WIN,’ policy towards business. Take no prisoners. Confessions of a Rock Guitarist will undoubtedly shed some light on that. Well done, Steve."

STEVE PLUNKETT - Lead vocalist / co-founder of band Autograph, songwriter / producer

"Steve Lynch’s Confessions of a Rock Guitarist is a good read, especially for aspiring guitarists working to make it in the music industry. Full of interesting stories and rock and roll memories from back in the day. It’s a tale of surviving a long and winding musical road."
